First visit, only two patrons, 4pm week nite. Small joint but clean and the folks running the place are polite and friendly. I order the bacon burger and some tater tots. Get my fair trade sarsaparilla and grab my seat. My neatly assembled burger arrives in minutes along with a Mound of the crispy tots. Well, the tots are great and I look over my burger. They took the time to arrange the Bermuda onion, pickles and perfect slice of tomato. First bite, the burger is a perfect medium. The beef needs a dash of salt which I add. From then on the bacon, and burger along with the fresh toppings go down with eager bite after bite. I was surprised at the large size of the sandwich. Next time I won't order the tots, I had to take most of them to go. I have found my burger joint for those nights I have to dine alone....I recommend and will visit next week.

Pretty darn good. Burger cooked as ordered - medium. Bacon had nice crunch. Veggies fresh. Had the Frito pie which was yummy in a mind of I might regret this kind of way. Turned out okay. Ha-ha. Service was good. Ladies room needs attention. My eating partner in crime had the eggie pop - which was delish. His food is always better then mine! Very worth trying!

Friendly staff, good food, fries are awesome! The burgers where good, but lacked a grill taste. Drinks are limited... The portions are massive. Will return.

The first time I ate at Waterloo, in early March, we were the only customers in the restaurant. The hamburgers and fries were delicious and the young lady at the counter provided excellent service. Well things have changed a lot....We had lunch there on Saturday and the place was full. I'm very happy this restaurant is doing well. Love the burgers but hope to try something different next time.

Stopped in tonight and so glad we did!! What a great little burger place, husband had the bacon cheeseburger combo with tots and I had just a burger with pickles. Both were very good. The toppings are so fresh and the tots were fried just right. The place is super clean and fun. The sweet tea was awesome! I can't wait to return and enjoy another great burger and maybe a float next time :)

I have been very impressed every time that I go to Waterloo Burgers. They are very detailed and make sure to cater to any special requests. We always order the cheeseburgers and they are always made perfect. The cheese fries are delicious and they have great craft sodas that are not found anywhere else (sarsaparilla, root beer and true sugar cane cola.) Very friendly staff!

The burger was overcooked and the fries were extrememly greasy and almost slimy. I had heard good things and decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE!! The people in the kitchen were so busy goofing off. I'm surprised I even got my order, which took 15 minutes for a single burger and fries. I won't go again!

I'm an avid reviewer of new establishments in my area and love supporting new businesses whenever possible, BUT, in this case, I MUST give this restaurant a generous 2-Star review. The burgers here are sub par. I could do better in my own kitchen as far as seasoning meat. After about 25 minutes waiting patiently, my order came, right? Wrong! She bypasses my table and takes my order to another guy and his order comes to me. I mention that it was the wrong burger and she took the burger and fries away for a redo. Meanwhile, the guy who got my order had already eaten a good half of his food when his redo was brought out. I looked at the waitress and said " So that guy gets a double order?" She tells me " Yeah...Next time you need to take a big bite out of it first." I was shocked! I said well tell the cook not to toss the burger heck I'll take mine too. No sense in wasting food. She came back and said he already tossed it in the trash. For the price of about $10, I will never eat here again. Not worth the money. If you want a bargain and a great burger go around the corner to Bobby's Cheeseburger. Fresh salad bar where you build your own damn burger how you like it. Tastes a helluva lot better, too! This place is lucky I didn't give it 1 star. Really lucky.

The burgers are good but the wait is way to long. They cannot continue to take so long to serve your food. The order just ahead of mine the people are complaining. It was one burger. 25 minutes and no idea how much longer. Owner needs to deal with this or he will not succeed. Service is causing this rating.

Service was great, friendly, and fast. Tater tots are really good. I went with the bacon cheese burger and it was good. Not the best, but I accidentally out too much ketchup on it. My wife got the frito pie burger and enjoyed it, but felt it may have been a little over cooked. We had the kids with us and they always split something. I made a small comment about it while ordering and the guy at the counter picked up on it and had the grill cheese cut in half and out into 2 separate containers. Great touch!! All in all really good place and local. We will we coming back HERE for our burgers moving forward.

Did not think I would like this place when I pulled up. The burgers are very good, I ordered the mushroom Swiss, basic burger but what impressed me is that I only used 1 napkin. No mess at all, no grease. And the fries are very good. I will be coming back to try the other burgers on the list for sure. Needs more stuff on the walls for atmosphere, because it's kind of a stale room otherwise. You won't waste your money. Try it.

If you look at most of my reviews you will see that I am on a life long journey to find the ultimate Cheeseburger. As an example Poe's on Sullivan Island South Carolina. I had heard about this place while at church having a group conversation, yes about cheeseburgers. So my wife and I loaded up on a Tuesday and took off on the drive to continue the journey. Waterloo is about 30 minutes from home. Doing my responsible due diligence I saw Yelp reviews about burnt burgers and was a little concerned. Upon arriving we found Waterloo is a small little brick building which I found out was the Flowery Branch Post Office way back in the day. My wife ordered the typical bacon cheeseburger but I wanted to step out in my adventure so I ordered the Eggie Pop. This cheeseburger comes with a thick slice of fried bologna and a fried egg along with caramelized onions. (Yes that is true) Let me also say that in ordering at the counter I said three different time "please do not burn our burgers" Let me just say that it was spectacular! Hard to hold, hot fresh grease running down my wrist. It was cooked to a perfect medium. In summary if you want a Cheeseburger experience that is in my top five. GO! The Fair Trade root beer also was unique, refreshing and fortunately for me with free refills.

If you're searching for fancy, look elsewhere. However if what you desire is fresh, hand made patties, fresh cut potatoes and high quality ingredients in a laid back, friendly, homey establishment; this is your place. The owners of Moonies did a great job on this little spot, always clean, the food is great and always consistent. One of my favorite places to get a handmade burger, other than my grill :-)

The new menu is awesome, the customized burger option is still available along with signature burgers and new side options! I ordered the Texan which comes with cheddar cheese, Moonies BBQ sauce, bacon and an onion ring. The burger was delicious and very juicy, a great improvement from past product. I got a side of sweet potato fries and nibbled on a friends tater tots, both sides were delicious and portions were plentiful. The sodas are different but you are sure to find a flavor you like, I recommend sarsaparilla! I also love how there are now grilled chicken and fried chicken options on the menu as well. Do not write this place off based on one bad experience because I can say it has come a long way from my first couple of visits. My entire group left happy :) Can't wait to go back!

Not sure why the reviews are so low. Food is awesome, prices are great. I eat there at least once a week. Some people seem to think it takes too long which I don't understand. It's not McDonald's, your food is made to order, be patient.

We went there for lunch this past week. Ordered a single cheeseburger and a chicken fingers basket. My son ate the chicken fingers. He said they were very good. The burger was delicious. The fries were cooked perfectly. The service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Definitely will be back.

My son and I went to Waterloo on opening night and had a great experience. We had cheeseburgers and fries and my son had a root beer float- perfect for a weeknight. Our burgers were cooked perfectly and it was reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and fun- just what we need in Flowery Branch. We will be back this weekend.

This place just opened yesterday. We've been waiting for it to open and were excited to try it. The place is decorated nice. We waited for our food for a long time. They were moderately busy. Our burgers were overcooked, actually burnt. My fries were cold. My husbands onion rings were good. I also liked the sodas. We will try this place once more. Maybe they were working out the bugs. I hope so, because this place is close to our house. Hope it will be better next time.

On my second visit, my daughter was home from college so we stopped back in. The burgers were tasty and my bun held together. The Chili cheese fries (individual serving between the two of us and still couldn't finish them! ) were perfect. The sodas are delicious! Sweet tea was still on point. The service was exceedingly polite, which was a fat cry better than my previous visit. I couldn't tell if the young man was sincere or stretching himself, but it didn't matter. I preferred his behavior to the high school hallway behavior I encountered in the first visit. We'll definitely be back. We'd like to see this local business succeed!

When I initially saw the first few reviews for this place, it scared me away. Then there was some mixed reviews, so I decided to give this place a chance. I've been here twice now, and personally I like it. The prices are fair, and I love their fries (a whole order of fries is perfect for two people, so it is nice that one can order a half order with no trouble) and sarsaparilla drink (which kinda tastes like a mix between a cream soda and root beer soda) The burgers are good, but since I'm a slow eater the buns got kinda soggy. The staff is friendly and the place is fairly clean. I also enjoy the charging stations that they have above some booths. It is just an exit away from the UNG Gainesville campus so I'll be back! :)

Waterloo Burgers in Flowery Branch opened this week with a bang. We visited on Monday, the day they opened. My husband enjoyed a single burger loaded, fresh cut fries and a root beer float. I went the healthy route and ordered the Portobello Mushroom Burger and it was delicious. Great Flavor and very satisfying. Since we were there we had to try the onion rings. The best flavor I have ever tested! Look forward to going back very soon.

Okay food. Nothing special. They need to add some excitement to their burgers and menu to make it more inviting and boost flavors instead of just having the normal burger and fries (i.e. Southwestern burger, Mexican style burger, Carolina burger, etc.) or add other things like chicken sandwiches. The prices were not the best. $1 to add cheese. We order two single patty cheeseburgers, one double hamburger, a family fry, and one drink for $26. I'm not against going here again, but I'm not eager to go back. The staff was friendly and it was clean.

After much anticipation we had dinner at Waterloo tonight - what a disappointment. The service is really slow (it took 45 minutes to get our food), our burgers were burnt, and the onion rings were so greasy they fell apart when picked up. It's a shame, we are big supporters of local businesses and we love Moonies, but Waterloo is just bad.

We visited Waterloo Burger this evening for the first time. I think that the restaurant has only been open for two days. They are working out the kinks but the overall experience was exceptional!! We had a loaded burger and bacon/cheese hotdog.. Fries, onion rings, and root beer float..all amazing!! We will be back with friends on Saturday!!
